source of my might,
the target of my love,
sent from up above.

There is no better way
to say,
thank you for
your love, your warmth
and protection
and your boundless affection,

Than to mean what i say
when i say
that for you i pray
everyday, and for you
i lay on life's hot coals,
so you may walk to your goals
free of pain,
with everything to gain.

Love is lost when not returned,
but a mutual love cannot be spurned;
that is why with you im glad
a mutual love is what we had
what we have and what we share
existing through our love and care.

Paradise lies at your feet
and there it is i hope to meet
you once more and see you smile
for eternity, not just a while
