If this is the case, when the Prophet Muhammad son of Abdullah was living, who lived in the United States of America?

Sure. Muslims must try hard and unite, and fight under the banner of Islam against the west.\\\" 
 
If you live as the Prophet Muhammad did and follow his ways and teachings you would have no thoughts of fighting and killing.  
 
When the Prophet received the first revelation ordering him to make war upon his persecutors “until persecution is no more and religion is for Allah only.” he was talking about the Quraysh who were out to kill him.  
 
The West as you believe you know it today, did not exist during the time of the Prophet Muhammand. He was not aware of a tiny island in the North Sea or of a \\\"massive country\\\" yet to be named in the Atlantic Ocean. 
 
The West has welcomed into their countries, millions of Muslims and they live side by side with other immigrants from all over the world in peace and harmony.  
 
As in all religions there are a few who misinterpret the teachings of the Holy Prophets.  
 
We can and should live in peace and harmony with each other if we live by one simple commandment ..\\\" Love thy neighbour as thyself\\\".
